Summit: The Summit is a not-for-profit initiative regarded as the “Davos” of its industry. In 2008, the Summit attracted over 400 leaders of the cross-border investment community and institutional investors from 22 countries.
Where: The historic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac Hotel in Quebec City, Canada.
When: One day event, beginning at 5:00 pm on Monday, October 19 and ending at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 20, 2009.
For whom: The Summit is an invitation-only event for senior members of the international investment community from the US, UK, Europe, Asia, Israel, South America and Canada. The 2009 Summit is expected to attract 500 participants, having under management over a trillion dollars. Service providers are not invited.

The Summit comprises three optional, by invitation-only, side conferences intended for specific purposes and held BEFORE the Summit on Monday, October 19, 2009:

Purpose: Bringing together international government officials and global leaders to exchange views on the development of a buoyant venture capital and private equity ecosystem.
This forum is the result of a partnership between the Government of Canada and the Summit.
When: Monday, October 19 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Purpose: Bringing together up-and-comers in the venture capital industry to participate in educational sessions, networking and sharing of knowledge with peers and leaders of major venture funds.
When: Monday, October 19 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Purpose: Bringing together world leading institutional investors to explore next-generation best practices and investment models.
